The Mumbai Indians (MI) are a professional franchise cricket team based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, that competes in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Founded on 24 January 2008, the team is owned by India’s biggest conglomerate, Reliance Industries, through its 100% subsidiary Indiawin Sports. Since its establishment, the team has played its home matches in the 33,108-capacity Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Team History

The Mumbai Indians have won the IPL title five times (2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, 2020). They also won the Champions League Twenty20 twice (2011, 2013). The team is currently captained by Hardik Pandya, and Mark Boucher was appointed as head coach of Mumbai Indians before the 2023 season.
